Optical Nonreciprocity in Rotating Diamond with Nitrogen?Vacancy Color Centers

نویسندگان

چکیده

We theoretically propose a method to realize optical nonreciprocity in rotating nano-diamond with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center. Because of the relative motion NV center respect propagating fields, frequencies fields are shifted due Doppler effect. When control and probe incident from same direction, two-photon resonance still holds as shifts two same. Thus, electromagnetically-induced transparency (EIT), light can pass through nearly without absorption. However, when propagate opposite directions, not effectively result breakdown resonance.

Single-color centers implanted in diamond nanostructures

The development of material-processing techniques that can be used to generate optical diamond nanostructures containing a single-color center is an important problem in quantum science and technology. In this work, we present the combination of ion implantation and top-down diamond nanofabrication in two scenarios: diamond nanopillars and diamond nanowires. The first device consists of a ‘shal...

Germanium-Vacancy Single Color Centers in Diamond

Atomic-sized fluorescent defects in diamond are widely recognized as a promising solid state platform for quantum cryptography and quantum information processing. For these applications, single photon sources with a high intensity and reproducible fabrication methods are required. In this study, we report a novel color center in diamond, composed of a germanium (Ge) and a vacancy (V) and named ...

Supplemental material for: Efficient photon detection from color centers in a diamond optical waveguide

To estimate the expected efficiency of the sidecollection technique, we begin by calculating the fraction of NV fluorescence confined within the diamond by total internal reflection (TIR) on first incidence of the emitted photons with the planar diamond chip surface. This fraction depends upon the angle of the emission dipole with respect to the assumed (100) polished surfaces of the diamond ch...

Multiphoton-Excited Fluorescence of Silicon-Vacancy Color Centers in Diamond

Silicon-vacancy color centers in nanodiamonds are promising as fluorescent labels for biological applications, with a narrow, nonbleaching emission line at 738 nm. Two-photon excitation of this fluorescence offers the possibility of low-background detection at significant tissue depth with high threedimensional spatial resolution. We measure the two-photon fluorescence cross section of a negati...
